Moonspinners morning

I don’t know how many of you ever saw the Haley Mills’ movie Moonspinners, but in the movie there is a scene where Haley and her potential love interest, whose name in the movie is Mark – don’t remember his real name, are hiding out in some ruins on the island of Crete.  The ruins are completely taken over by feral cats.

This morning, I went running in Morningside Park, and as I was running along the enormous stone wall that runs along the west side of the park I happened upon a huge feral cat population.  With the enormous stone structure and all the cats, I felt like I had been transplanted into Moonspinners…. with out the Greeks.

It is hot this morning, so I guess I will be baking by this afternoon.  This is the day when I have to traverse Manhattan from North to South, so I’m guessing I will look pretty deflated by the end of the day.  So unfair.

Unlike Haley Mills’ character I don’t have a nice Greek woman making me coffee and a boiled egg, so I must shake a leg.

As ever,

K. Quinn
