In that, I didn’t need to research my route to work before leaving my apartment. I didn’t need to alertly watch each stop of the subway to determine if this was my stop. And, I easily made it to a staff meeting that required subway and walking – and even enjoyed a farmers’ market on the way back home.
I was able to get a delicious salad for dinner… I am determined to start cooking for myself next week – although the college student’s kitchen has a little something to be desired. I had to manically search for a bottle opener last night…. made a mental note to myself to buy screw top beers until further notice.
And this morning, I went running in Riverside Park which was just as beautiful, peaceful, and relaxing as yesterday’s run in Central Park.
And last night, I wasn’t exhausted by 8PM – I actually made it to 930. I also made a list of personal goals for next week – and these would be small goals so don’t get two excited. For example, I plan to go to two activities or events next week after work…. there is a French society that looks fun… and I need to check out the library and music scene – so that’s tonight’s research. Otherwise I may become a YouTube junkie and never leave the apartment.
As ever,
K. Quinn
