It’s sort of how I feel this week. Being in South Carolina, and accessing the news in bits and spurts, I feel like I really have no idea what’s going on…I feel like I have been on a diet of 5 minutes of CNN, 5 minutes of Ellen, a dinner party and walks on the beach with new acquaintances. It has led to interesting and often funny discussions, but I feel like I have no idea what is going on in the world outside of this house. And, I do know there is so much going on. And, I also know that I need to pick up the paper, go online, and read so that I am not continuing in this little bubble. It’s just so strange how easy it can be to disconnect. It’s also somewhat comforting to know that the life of oblivion isn’t a comfortable fit.
Today’s variety menu: We are heading on a bike ride this afternoon to look for alligators. I am working on a research project (mini would sum it up) for another grant for a friend. And, I will end today with a walk on the beach with Verbal. Not too bad for February.
It’s a short post – not much to report… but tomorrow we head out into the world… so there will be some story to tell I’m sure.
As ever,
K. Quinn
